Senate candidate Russ Feingold is continuing his campaign
tour across the state with a roundtable discussion
in La Crosse.
Today's discussion focused on Wisconsin's transportation
Feingold says he's seen the detoriorating condition
of the state's roadways and bridges as he's travelled
across the state .
and has heard the same from people who don't want
to see road funding become a political bargaining
Somehow we've got to get
politics out of this infrastructure
It should never have become a political issue.
It should be a bipartisan issue and particularily
given the climate issues.
Feingold says he's proposing a federal fiscal fitness
identifying a trillion dollars in possible funding
sources for future infrastructure projects.
