UW-La Crosse will pay a special tribute to a pair of servicemen during Veteran's Day weekend. They're calling it "Pack the Vet for Vets."

Organizers announced a number of events Tuesday to honor those who have served. That includes continuing the Freedom Honor Flight veteran's breakfast, a 24-hour tribute run-walk, and free tickets for veterans to attend the football game against UW-Whitewater.

Two local serviceman will be honored during that game, one of them with a purple heart.  "We hope to fill the stadium, we've called it Pack the Vet for Vets, and we hope to get the word out that there are these free tickets available, and we want certainly every veteran to come out and be recognized," said UW-L Athletic Director Josh Whitman.

The day is a collaboration between UW-L, Freedom Honor Flight, and LHI. The game kicks off Saturday, November 10th at 1:00 p.m.
