Two La Crosse city employees that have been on paid leave since May had their first meeting with the city on Thursday.
Assistant City Attorney Pete Kisken and Community Development Administrator Liana Escott met separately with city officials.
Their lawyer Michael Fox says it's the first time the city has met with the two since they were escorted out of city hall six months ago. Fox says his clients have still not been told why there were on leave. The city has repeatedly refused to comment on the matter.
