Decomposed body found in Tomah motel
TOMAH, Wis. -- An investigation is underway into the discovery of a badly decomposed body at a Tomah motel.
The body of 51-year-old Kurt Lieburn was found February 3 at the Park Motel.
Tomah Police Chief Wes Revels tells News 8 Lieburn's body was found in a room, and the death appears to be from natural causes.
Revels says motel staff was going to do repairs in the room that had not been occupied for a while when they found Lieburn's body.
Family reported Lieburn missing in March 2011.
Sources tell News 8 the body was so badly decomposed investigators could not initially tell if it was a man, or a woman.
Torkelson Funeral Homes in Tomah handled services for the Lieburn family.
