DISH Network will no longer broadcast Big Ten games, including Saturday night's Badger game versus Utah State.
A statement released by the Big Ten Network said the distribution agreement between BTN and DISH expired Friday.
"We are disappointed that DISH does not see the value in the network in the same way that so many of their customers do, including Big Ten students, alumni, fans and viewers across the country who continue to pay DISH for a channel they no longer receive," the statement said.
BTN and DISH have struggled for weeks to come to an agreement. In August, University of Wisconsin-Madison Athletic Director Barry Alvarez was unsure whether the Badger home opener versus Northern Iowa would be broadcast on DISH.
BTN released a website in response to DISH's decision to drop the games. The site answers frequently asked questions about the split, as well as where Big Ten games will be broadcast.
Only DISH Network subscribers will be affected by the split.
