TOMAH, Wis. -

Tomah police announced a sex offender has been released to the community on February 13.

Police say Chad Schroeder, 40, will be monitored by GPS as he lives on North Superior Avenue near the retail area in the City of Tomah.

Schroeder was convicted on July 9, 1991 of five counts of third degree sexual assault. Tomah police say he sexually assaulted 13 female victims between the ages of 14-18. Police say Schroeder knew all but one of them.

On April 21, 1992, Schroeder was convicted of third degree sexual assault, a case involving an adult woman Schroeder knew.

Schroeder is 5'11" and weighs 257 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Tomah police say if members of the community notice any suspicious behavior by Schroeder, they should contact law enforcement.
