Clinton council succeeds in ousting administrator
The Clinton City Council has scheduled a discussion on how it will proceed in replacing the ousted city administrator.
The council voted Nov. 12 to ask Jeffrey Horne to quit. Horne had been on leave for several weeks for personal reason that have not been explained.
Horne's contract calls for a separation package that includes six months of salary and health benefits, whether he is fired or resigns.
The Clinton Herald says Horne stepped down last week. He'd been city administrator since October 2009.
Mayor Mark Vulich says the Nov. 27 council meeting will include a discussion on the procedure for selecting Horne's replacement.
Horne has declined to comment.
