Clerks across Wisconsin are making last-minute preparations
to start what will be a massive state-wide recount.
The recount of the presidential race will start early
tomorrow in most Wisconsin counties .
and last for 12 days.
While a judge ruled yesterday that counties don't
have to do the recount by hand .
many clerks will .
including here in La Crosse County.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission held a webinar
this morning .
answering questions from clerks around the state on
About 2-point-9 million ballots will get a second
look as a result of the recount.
one way to look at this with all the work you'll be
doing in organizing in the next couple of weeks is
that this is a good check, a recount is always a good
check on the processes we use and the documentation
for every election.
The presidential recount won't begin in La Crosse
County until Monday .
due to the current recount of the state senate race
between Jennifer Shilling and Dan Kapanke.
Clerks will have until 8 p-m on December 12th to count
the ballots in the presidential race.
