Car crash kills 3 people in southeast Iowa
Police are investigating a vehicle crash that killed three people in southeast Iowa.
Des Moines television station KCCI reports the crash happened Wednesday night on Highway 34 near Fairfield. Two passengers were ejected from the car and the driver was trapped inside the wreckage.
The Iowa State Patrol says a Chevy Camaro was traveling at a high speed when it failed to negotiate a curve. It struck a light pole and rolled numerous times.
The station reports Martin Durflinger of Ottumwa, Robbie Abel of Hedrick and Harry Blodgett of Brighton were killed in the crash.
