MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Hundreds of baseball fans from the Coulee Region took in the Brewers game Wednesday as part of La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park.

37 buses and more than 1,700 people made the cross-state trip to enjoy some tailgating with La Crosse area products, a raffle, and even some live music.

The on-field pregame festivities had a local flair too as La Crosse Mayor Matt Harter threw out the first pitch.

All of that, plus an exciting game equaled a great day at the ballpark. "Pretty crazy. Like I said we stopped and everybody got off the bus and I was like is anybody at home right now?," said Alisha Crawley from Onalaska. "I always have more fun with the tailgating. You've got to love it. I mean the atmosphere with a thousand people out here. You can't go wrong," said Erik Culver from La Crosse.
The Brewers did end up winning the game in a nail biter, 4-3. Head over to the sports page for full highlights.
