MILWAUKEE (AP) -

The Wisconsin Professional Police Association says a national memorial board will meet next week to reconsider adding the name of a slain Wauwatosa police officer to its monument.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund initially said it would not include Jennifer Sebena's name on the memorial wall because her death was the result of domestic violence. The memorial board reconsidered after objections were raised and said it would consider the matter again next year.

The objections grew louder. Nearly 15,000 people have signed an online petition supporting Sebena.

The Journal Sentinel reports the police association says it's been informed the memorial board will now meet April 3. The memorial fund board did not return a call seeking comment.
