Black Friday may not be what it used to be as stores
are now opening on Thanksgiving.
but it's still a tradition for many to head out in
search of some great deals.
News 8's Madalyn O'Neill joins us now with a look
at what some people went through to find those big
Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days of
the year .
and the National Retail Federation expects holiday
sales will increase 3 point 6 percent from last year.
The promise of deals has drawn in both avid shoppers
and those new to Black Friday alike to the stores

Layers of clothes, and lots of coffee.
Along with the jackets and caffeine, it takes some
dedication to be in line for a store's opening before
six in the morning.

I got here at , there were people starting already.
We've been in line for about three hours.
But it must be a special day if you've been out since
the day before.
We left ma's house at , we haven't gone to sleep.
We've been out since 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
It's Black Friday .
a day of doing what you have to do to get the deals.
If you want to prepare for black friday shopping make
sure to bring the tennis shoes for lots of running.

Friday shopping .
but he's out at Best Buy braving the crowds.
It was amazing trying to find parking, That was crazy,
and of course the lines, waiting for the cash registers,
just long lines.
But in the end .
he says it's worth it.

at uw stout .
It's fine as long as im with my wife and enjoying
the time that's all it is.
