A plea hearing for the men accused of assaulting Wisconsin running back Montee Ball was delayed because Ball wants to testify in the case.
The hearing was scheduled for Monday and is postponed until Wednesday when Ball is expected to testify.
Probable cause affidavits stated a witness and surveillance video place Robert A. Wilks, 22, Deonte J. Wilson, 21, and Wendell J. Venerable, 21, in the area where Ball was attacked Aug. 1.
Ball suffered a concussion during the early-morning assault near campus.
All three of the men were charged with substantial battery and have agreed to plea deals. They will be required to go through the first offenders program.
Assistant Dane County District Attorney Michael Finley told News 8's sister station, WISC-TV the men have taken responsibility and are willing to go through the program.
He said police are looking into the possible involvement of a fourth person and he said he expects charges for other people in the case.
