LA CROSSE, Wis. -

Three people were treated and released and a fourth person was taken to a local hosptial for non-life threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle crash on West Avenue Wednesday morning.

La Crosse police say at around 8 a.m., three cars were heading north on West Avenue waiting for the lead car to turn west onto Division Street when a fourth car rear-ended one, causing a chain reaction.

Police say the driver that struck the other vehicles was adjusting the heater and defrost controls before the crash and received a ticket for inattentive driving.

Two vehicles were towed due to damage sustained during the crash.
