CLINTON, Iowa (AP) -- The Archer Daniels Midland Co. is cutting more jobs in Clinton as part of a company-wide restructuring, which includes an early retirement incentive.

The Quad-City Times says ADM, based in Decatur, Ill., says workforce changes were part of its plans announced in January to streamline its organization.

In Clinton, company spokesman David Weintraub says 15 employees accepted the company's voluntary early retirement while another 15 employees' positions were eliminated.

Two weeks ago, ADM said it was cutting 43 jobs as it idled its polymer plant in Clinton. Those changes were the result of ADM ending a joint venture to make biodegradable plastics from corn sugar with a Massachusetts company.
