LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WKBT) -

A local fall classic wrapped up Sunday.

This weekend was La Crescent's 68th Applefest.

The festival has been going on since 1949 and is now a favorite fall activity in the community.

The festival wrapped up with the King Apple parade Sunday afternoon with 120 floats.

Organizers say the festival is fun for the whole family.

"It's so popular because we're very family friendly. There's always something to do for everybody. We just like to have a good time and celebrate Applefest. Not only with our growers but our sponsors, our friends, our family. Everybody comes back home for it," April Wright, Applefest president said.
