Another banner year for La Crosse's Rotary Lights
LA CROSSE, Wis. -- La Crosse's Rotary Lights display continues shining brightly down in Riverside Park. The display of more than two-million lights does more than add some holiday cheer to the park, it's also a fundraiser for local food pantries.
Organizers set their food donation goal at two-million items this year and the president of Rotary Lights says the early count shows they'll easily make that goal.
Our lack of snow may be helping get crowds down to the park with their donations in-hand. "The concern a lot of times with families when they come down with Grandma and Grandpa or the young kids is that they want to make sure there's no ice or snow piles to climb through. We haven't had that so I think that has helped a lot with attendance," says Pat Stephens.
You can check out the Rotary lights display for yourself every night from now through New Year's Eve.
