LA CROSSE, Wis. -

The Salvation Army's red kettle campaign is getting a financial boost this weekend.

This Saturday is Match Day. All donations dropped into local red kettles will be matched by an anonymous donor up to $50,000. That means the organization could raise up to $100,000 in a single day.

Having a Match Day means whatever you drop in the kettles helps even more. "Everybody wants to know that what they give to any charity is going to go as far as possible, well this is a time when they can put their money in and it goes twice as far," said Maj. Paul Moore.

The Salvation Army still needs volunteer bell ringers. If you're interested, you can sign up at bells2ring.org.
