It was a day of no limitations at Mount La Crosse.

The YWCA held a free adaptive ski clinic out at the hill on Sunday.

It provides people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the slopes when they usually wouldn't be able to.

People coming out can choose between bi and mono skis that are designed to make sure anyone can satisfy the need for speed.

One of the participants suffers from a neurotransmitter disease and his mom, Marlis O'Brien says their family is thankful for the chance to all ski together.

"Events like this are pretty rare and they're wonderful. It gives us an opportunity to do something as a family that we normally wouldn't be able to do. The equipment is expensive and the kids outgrow it quickly. This gives us the opportunity to continue to do it as he grows," said O'Brien.

The adaptive skis are available to use for free at Mount La Crosse throughout the season.
