GENESEE DEPOT, Wis. (AP) -- Actor, writer and director Alan Alda will be the master teacher for next year's fellowship program for actors at Ten Chimneys.

Ten Chimneys is the National Historic Landmark estate of theater greats Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.

The Ten Chimneys Foundation says he will focus on spontaneity during the weeklong program in July 2013.

In a statement, Alda said he's looking forward for his week at Ten Chimneys.

For this July's program, Broadway legend Joel Grey is the master teacher focusing on the American Musical Theatre.

Ten Chimneys is in Genesee Depot, a small town about 30 miles west of Milwaukee, where Lunt was born.

Fontanne and Lunt co-starred in more than 40 plays in five decades. Lunt died in 1977 and Fontanne in 1983.
