LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

If you have an old or unused car seat, you can drop it off at one of four locations in the La Crosse area on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is part of Car Seat Round-Up Day, which is sponsored by Safe Kids Wisconsin and its partners. Its goal is to get old car seats out of use.

If your car seat is more than 6 years old; from a garage sale or thrift store; involved in a car crash; or not being used and needs recycling, Safe Kids Wisconsin says you should bring it to one of these four drop-off locations:

  • La Crosse Fire Station #3, 710 Losey Blvd., La Crosse
  • Onalaska City Hall, 415 Main Street, Onalaska
  • Gundersen La Crescent Clinic, 226 N. 2nd St. La Crescent
  • Brice Prairie 1st Responders Building, W7886 County Road ZN, Onalaska
