It's a beautiful day to be outisde.
many are spending it down at Irishfest in La Crosse.
Today is day two of the three day event.
The great weather and long list of entertainment is
making this event one of the biggest on record.
News Eight's Kyle Dimke spent his day there and he
joins us now with more.
it is a sea of green on the fest grounds this weekend.
Everywhere you look there is something fun to experience.
Whether it's the music.
or the culture.
Irishfest is bringing in big crowds.
from across the country.
With your first step through the gate.
the Irish culture surrounds you.
Some people have even traveled across the pond to
celebrate Irishfest in La Crosse.
On their tour across America.
the band Manran stopped in La Crosse for two shows
The band says they play traditonal Irish and Scotish
with a bit of modern rock and funk sound thrown in.
This is their second time touring America.
and say they are excited to be back in Wisconsin
MANRAN: 4- We were in this state last year for a couple
of weeks and so we knew you guys rocked as people
Along with enjoying the sounds of Ireland, people
also took part in a traditional test of strength known
as the Highland Games.
Crowds gathered to watch men and women compete in
Celtic-themed games like the stone throw.
NATS: thrower screaming
and the weight toss.
Pat: 3- It's all by weights, there are different sized
stones that are tossed.
It's really kind of a Celtic game, it's not exclusive
to Irish culture

The event is far from being over, but organizers say
after only one day Irishfest is already breaking records.
Pat: 1- Well we can say absolutely last night, Friday
night, was the best Friday night we've ever had in
the 10 years of Irishfest
With one day left of Irishfest.
organizers are expecting the beautiful weather and
Irish tradition to keep the record breaking crowd
Pat: 2- to have 3 days of what they're predicting
of perfect weather, we're just going to go bonkers
and have a great 3 day weekend here.

The band Manran will be playing it's final show of
Irishfast beginning at .
There is more music and even fireworks tonight at
10 oclock as well to celebrate the 10 year anniversary
Tomorrow is the final day of Irishfest.
