Another event is benefitting area residents today.

The Coulee Council on Addictions held its first-ever
Home-Run-Fun Run-Walk, at Copeland Park.
The 5-k race took participants across the Black River
and through French Island.
ending at home plate, so runners got the chance to
get in a home-run at the Lumber-yard.
The event is open to the public .
but organizers hope it specifically helps recovering
Running is an activity or an outlet for individuals
in recovery .
it's kind of a stress reliever, it's something else
Funds from the event will go toward prevention-education
and addiction recovery.
