Wisconsin Representative Ron Kind has his hands in
something other than politics for his next visit to
He'll be here this weekend
for the 13th annual Congressional
District art show.
hosted by UW-L's art department
Representative Kind has put out a call to all high
school students in the district to enter a two dimensional
piece of art to be part of the exhibit.
Out of the works of art entered.
UW-L faculty selects the best pieces to be a part
of the show.
They then select the top four pieces to be displayed
somewhere other than the gallery.
The first place piece is on exhibit in the capitol
and the second place piece is exhibited in Ron Kind's
office in Washington and the third and fourth place
pieces are exhibited in the local district offices
and then there are additional pieces selected for
honorable mention and those are pieces that deserve
recognition but are not shown in a place beyond this
The exhibit will run until April 11th at the University
The event is free and open to the public.
