A local business is throwing support behind a medical system's efforts to stop bullying.
Kohl’s Department Stores presented a $22,349 check to the Gundersen Medical Foundation to support Together Against Bullying, a program that provides bullying prevention education in the community.
In past years, the grant helped launch togetheragainstbullying.org, which Gundersen launched in February, and a PSA played in the community.
Doctors at Gundersen say it takes a community to put an end to bullying.
"Parents can't do this alone, schools can't do this alone, medical providers can't do it and certainly the children have not been able to do this alone, we all need to work together,” said Dr. Jeff Reiland, child and family therapist at Gundersen.
Since 2006, Kohl’s has donated more than $400,000 to Gundersen Medical Foundation through its Kohl’s Cares program.
