1977: Actor and comedian Groucho Marx dies at age 86 in Los Angeles, Calif. He was best known for the 13 films he made with his siblings, the Marx Brothers, and for hosting the radio and television game show "You Bet Your Life." He was also known for his distinctive appearance, which included an exaggerated stooped posture, glasses, cigar and a thick greasepaint mustache and eyebrows.
