1977: Seattle Slew wins the Belmont Stakes, capturing the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. The horse would be the second to last to win the Triple Crown, which consists of winning the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes, with Affirmed becoming the 11th Triple Crown winner exactly a year later. No racehorse has won the Triple Crown since. Seattle Slew is seen here 1997.
