Takeshi Terakoshi (1963) -- Terakoshi went missing at age 13 when a Japanese fishing vessel sunk off the coast of North Korea in 1963. He and his uncles were found alive, but North Korea refused to return them to Japan. It wasn't until 1987 that Terakoshi was allowed to communicate with his parents, who had long since given him up for dead.
