1929: College Football Hall of Fame coach Glenn Edward "Bo" Schembechler, best known for leading the University of Michigan to 13 Big Ten Conference titles in 21 seasons from 1969 to 1989, is born in Barberton, Ohio. Schembechler compiled a career coaching record of 234–65–8, also coaching Miami of Ohio from 1963 to 1968.
