It's the Indy 500 of Truck and Tractor Pulls.
Some of the country's biggest and best engines are being put in to high gear this weekend. The annual Budweiser Dairyland Super National Truck and Tractor Pull kicked off again Saturday at Tomah's Recreation Park. More than 400 people are taking part in the two day competition to see just how much weight they can pull. The competition involves the best of the best of pullers. Their machines aren't built over night. For some it takes months of preparation and thousands for dollars to compete in the annual pull.
"It's hard to imagine that you would have an event like this here in Tomah, Wisconsin, or in our immediate region. You're talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars in rigs and machinery and campers, that these people invest in,"said Marketing and Advertising Manager from the event, Julie Zebro.
The event's marketing manager expects more than 75,000 spectators over the weekend.
