Gov. Walker declares May 19-25 EAB Awareness Week

MADISON, Wis. -

Gov. Walker has proclaimed May 19-25 Emerald Ash Borer Awareness (EAB) week to educate Wisconsin residents on how they can be proactive in preventing a potential infestation.

Walker hopes residents use the week to learn about the effects the EAB has on Wisconsin.

“Citizens and visitors alike should understand the potential effects of the EAB on the environment and the economy of Wisconsin, the Great lakes region and the nation,” Walker said in statement.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says people can help slow the spread of EAB while learning more about the pest by:
