MADISON, Wis. -

Wisconsin First Lady Tonette Walker and the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary John Scocos will host "Faces of Freedom-A Year of the Veteran Celebration" on Saturday, March 2 in Milwaukee.

The event, which begins at 6 p.m., will include a program saluting Wisconsin veterans along with music and dancing.

"For nearly a year now we have been recognizing and honoring all generations of our state's veterans with events and celebrations across the state such as Operation Greatest Generation where we honored hundreds of Wisconsin’s living World War II veterans and the unveiling of a new Medal of Honor monument honoring Wisconsin’s 62 bravest heroes," Secretary Scocos said in a statement. "I’d like to thank the First Lady and Governor Walker for their commitment to veterans and military families."

"Faces of Freedom" is open to the public. Tickets are $50 per person. Proceeds will go toward the Wisconsin Veterans Museum. Click here for more information on the event.
