Take a look at the life of global icon and former South African leader Nelson Mandela.
Mandela has met with world leaders and celebrities the world over in various activist roles. He became a fierce warrior in the battle against AIDS in Africa. Here he hugs singer Bono at the 46664 concert in 2003 in Cape Town, South Africa. It was a benefit for the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the battle against AIDS.
