1934: Actress Rue McClanahan, best known for her TV roles as Vivian Harmon on "Maude," Fran Crowley on "Mama's Family," and Blanche Devereaux on "The Golden Girls," is born in Healdton, Okla. She earned four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress for her "Golden Girls" role, winning in 1987.
