1898: The Duquesne Country and Athletic Club defeats a collection of early football players from several teams based in southwestern Pennsylvania in a game at Pittsburgh's Exposition Park, in what is considered to be the very first all-star game for professional American football. The Duquesnes win the game 16-0.
