1902: Kid Curry Logan, second-in-command of Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch gang (seen here in the back row at right), is arrested at a pool hall in Knoxville, Tenn. Logan, who killed at least nine law enforcement officers in five different shootings, and another two men in other instances, would be sentenced to 20 years imprisonment with hard labor. He would escape from jail in June 1903 and fatally shoot himself in the head to avoid capture a year later after being tracked down by a posse.
