1976: Actor Jaleel White, best known for playing the character Steve Urkel on the 1990s TV sitcom "Family Matters," is born in Pasadena, Calif. White's other credits include voicing the character of Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as other characters for the "Sonic the Hedgehog" animated series, making guest appearances on shows such as "House," "Psych" and "NCIS," and hosting the SyFy Channel game show "Total BlackOut."
