Bill Graul

Bill has been a member of the StormTeam at News 8 since March of 1998 when he first started as the weekend meteorologist. He's been waking up "dark and early" to give us our daily weather forecast on News 8 This Morning and News 8 At Noon since June of 1999. More than 10 of those years have been with co-anchor Jennifer Livingston. Believe it or not, they still like each other... at least most of the time. Bill jokes the best thing about getting up at 2:30 in the morning is that there's no traffic for his morning commute.

Bill grew up in Denver, Colorado. He has a degree in Meteorology/Climatology/Physical Geography from the University of Colorado. He also has a second degree in Technical Journalism/TV Broadcasting from Colorado State University.

Favorite band?
My favorite band is U2. I saw U2 a couple years ago in Milwaukee and more recently in Chicago. They were two of the best concerts I've ever seen. I also like The Dave Matthews Band, The Samples and Big Head Todd and the Monsters.

Favorite movie?
Believe it or not it's not Twister. My favorite movies (in order of release date) are: Weird Science, The Fugitive, The Bourne Ultimatum and The Hangover.

If you could interview one person, living or deceased, who would it be?
Would Mother Nature count for this? I'd sure like to sit down and talk with her each year to see what she has planned for the region. This would make it so much easier for me to forecast our weather.

Favorite way to spend a day off?
Taking naps, golf, traveling and just spending time with my wife and kids.

What sports team are you a big fan of?
I was born in Denver and lived there for over 25 years. So... of course I am a huge fan of the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and my alma mater Colorado Buffaloes.

Favorite food?
My favorite food is any Mexican food, any breakfast food, filet mignon and seafood (especially lobster, crab legs and scallops). And with my early morning shift, of course I love coffee and white chocolate mochas.
