ADOPTED

Meet Isabella! Isabella is a very pretty 3 year old Rex. This sweet girl loves attention from her human friends. She is easy to handle, litter box trained and enjoys lots of time outside of her kennel. Give her a chance and she’ll make your life very “hoppy”! Did you know that a well-cared for indoor rabbit can live as long as 10-12 years? Rabbits are most successful as indoor companions—being indoors keeps them out of the extreme cold and extreme heat, and allows you and your rabbit to get to know each other and to become friends. Indoor rabbits are called “House Rabbits” . To learn more about rabbits you can visit: www.rabbit.org. Adding a rabbit to your life is a serious commitment. Rabbits require daily spot cleaning of their kennels and a complete top-to-bottom cleaning at least weekly. The kennel should be large enough for them to hop for a few feet from one end to another. Rabbits eat commercial rabbit pellets as their primary source of food, but in addition, require leafy greens and vegetables to keep up their level of Vitamin C, as well as Timothy Hay to promote digestion.  Rabbits can be litter box trained, and many people allow their rabbit to free-roam in the house when they are at home and then put them in their kennel overnight or when they are unsupervised.

If you would like to help our wonderful friends while they are waiting to be adopted, the Coulee Region Humane Society is always looking for donations. These donations go a long way in making the stay more comfortable for our animal guests.
