Kristen Elicerio hosts 2 Minute Take, a segment that highlights local businesses, organizations and events. She began her career at News 8 as a general assignment reporter in 2008. Kristen attended Winona State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication. Opportunities and experiences outside of school are what guided her towards work in television.
Kristen is a Twin Cities native and no doubt a Minnesotan at heart. However, she has found a special appreciation for being part of a community like La Crosse. It’s the people who make up the patchwork of this area that excite Kristen the most about her job. She enjoys meeting new faces and catching up with familiar ones.
In her spare time Kristen enjoys volunteering her time with area youth.
As the host of 2 Minute Take, she looks forward to learning more about your business and having you as a guest on the show!
Do you have a personal motto or quote that inspires you?
Be happy for this moment; this moment is your life.
The Bourne Series
I'm fascinated by Jodi Picolult's novels. Two of my favorites are My Sister's Keeper and The Pact. All are extremely good and very addicting, though!
What sports team are you a big fan of?
I'm a Minnesota girl and probably what many would consider a fair-weather fan. I'll cheer for any team. I like the experience more than the game.
Favorite way to spend a day off?
Would you believe me if I said cleaning or yard work? Honestly! While it ranks high, it probably wouldn’t be my first choice. I think it's who you’re with that matters. So, spending the day outside with family and good friends would be ideal.
Pizza. Sausage, pepperoni or everything on it?
Everything on it! Growing up we called it "garbage pizza." Mmm... but hold the olives, please.
What are you bad at and wish you could do better?
Sports. My family refers to me a "social athlete"
Mexican, summer barbeques and macaroni and cheese with hot dogs.
What do you like about your job?
The people I work with and the opportunity to be an expert for a day.
