The 54th annual economic forum hosted by the La Crosse Area Development Corporation (LADCO) will focus on Health Care Reform.

The “Affordable Care Act: Issues and Implementation” forum is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16 at 7 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel Ballroom.

As part of the economic forum, speakers will talk about and respond to questions from a business perspective.

Mila Spencer of Kwik Trip’s human resources department will talk about a variety of steps being taken to prepare the business and employees for the Affordable Care Act. Steve Kunes of Health Traditions and Greg Skemp of Gundersen Health Plan will talk about their insight and knowledge as it relates to their health plans.

Jason Witt, La Crosse County’s Director of Human Services will address the needs of the thousands of area residents who are not insured but will be under the Affordable Care Act.

LADCO says in addition to the panelists, people who attend the panel will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Breakfast begins at 7 a.m. The program begins at 7:30 a.m. It will be completed by 8:45 a.m. It’s $25 per person to register and you can download the registration form for the 54th annual LADCO economic forum.
