Gundersen Health System is offering some help and guidance for parents of young children.
They've created a series of classes to help raise healthy, resilient children.
The weekly courses start next Tuesday and cover a variety of topics. That includes managing anger, interacting in meaningful ways, and how to handle difficult topics like violence in the media and the long term effects.
A family and child therapist says it's a helpful tool as parents are so overwhelmed these days.
"Many are working two jobs, I think there are so many distractions that we didn't have 2 or 3 decades ago, not that parenting was any easier 2 or 3 decades ago, but I would say that it's harder," said Jeff Reiland.
Registration is required for the classes and the first one is already full. They'll be every Tuesday at Gundersen's Onalaska Clinic.
Classes will repeat starting late March and possibly again every year.
