Wednesday marks 57 years since "The Day the Music Died," with rockers Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson dying together in a plane crash. Led Zeppelin drummer John "Bonzo" Bonham died on Sept. 25, 1980, of asphyxiation on his own vomit due to consumption of alcohol while sleeping at Jimmy Page's house in Clewer, Windsor, England. He was 32. The remaining members of the band would decide to disband in December 1980 rather than replace Bonham, who is widely considered to be one of the greatest drummers in the history of rock music.
