It's time to stop asking Tina Fey about Taylor Swift

(CNN) -

When Tina Fey starts cursing out paparazzi, you know it's time to bury a topic.

All week, Fey - and her friend and sometimes co-worker, Amy Poehler - have been pitted against Taylor Swift, who they name-checked when they hosted the Golden Globes together in January.

The joke is so stale at this point it really doesn't merit repeating - they riffed on Swift for always having a new man on her arm, Michael J. Fox's son was mentioned, etc.

Swift, in an excerpted quote from her new Vanity Fair cover story, seemed to imply that there's "a special place in hell" for those two. Fey and Poehler gamely responded, with both saying they didn't intend any harm.

So when a photographer decided to drag the subject back out when he spotted Fey out and about, as seen in a video posted on E!, she told him exactly what he could do: "Go [bleep] yourself."

Although Fey said it with a smile, perhaps she could commiserate with Bieber when he returns to the States - the 19-year-old just had an expletive-laden run-in with paparazzi himself.
