Many areas saw their first measurable snow of the season on Sunday. Snowfall totals ranged from 2" to 4" in most spots, including 2.3" officially at the La Crosse airport. Temps were not overly cold so the snow was very wet, in fact the temp never even dropped to 32º in La Crosse on Sunday.

Today we will start with some areas of fog. Otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 30s. A weak disturbance will approach from the west with a slight chance of light rain or a mix later this afternoon.

Tonight a cold front sweeps east across the region, bringing a chance of light rain & snow. Little if any snow accumulations are expected. Lows tonight will be in the upper 20s to around 30º.

A light mix is possible early Tuesday, otherwise most of the day will be dry... but also mostly cloudy. Expect highs in the low-mid 30s and rather breezy west winds 10-20 mph, with gusts of 25-30 mph possible west of the Miss. River.

Looking Ahead... Wednesday through Friday looks mainly dry, but also mostly cloudy and colder. In fact temps look like they'll drop BELOW average for a change with highs in the low-mid 20s and lows dipping into the teens.

Forecast models are hinting at a decent chance of snow on Saturday with highs in the mid 20s. Just a slight chance of light snow or flurries on Sunday and Monday with highs in the upper 20s to around 30º. Another chance of light snow next Tuesday with highs in the mid 20s.

Have a good Monday and a great week ahead! -Bill Graul
