Sheedy, now 50, followed up "Breakfast Club" and "St. Elmo's Fire," with 1986's "Short Circuit." Into the 1990s, she found work mostly in TV movies and on stage. Her most recent high-profile work includes recurring roles on "Kyle XY" and "Psych" and the 2011 indie comedy "Fugly," co-starring John Leguizamo and Rosie Perez.
